Trenton St. Patrick's Day Parade
2/17/2010

DUE TO THE UPCOMING INCLEMENT WEATHER FOR SATURDAY, MARCH 13, THE TRENTON ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, MARCH 20, 2010. The Parade will begin with opening ceremonies on the steps of St. Anthony's Church (626 S. Olden Ave.) at 12:00 noon. If you need to MapQuest a starting point, you can use St. Anthony's Church, as our starting point is very close. We will be meeting 12:30pm at Pierce Ave. and S. Olden Ave. The Parade marches down Hamilton Ave. turns left onto Chestnut Ave. and ends at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church (540 Chestnut Ave). Please come out and support our own on this special occasion.

This year's Trenton St. Patrick Day's Parade is celebrating its 25th anniversary. As part of the celebration, the parade will be honoring all past Grand Marshals. Again, our own Mike Maloney, last year's Grand Marshal will be honored and march at the front of the parade. Marching beside Mike will be another one of our own; Business Agent Chuddy Whalen. Chuddy will be marching in the place of his father, Charles "Chuddy" Whalen the 1991 Grand Marshal who passed away in 2002. Mr. Whalen was a long time Local #9 and Local #236 member who was very active in our union and in his community. Mr. Whalen also has two other family members in our union, his son James and Grandson Chuddy. Please come out and support our own on this special occasion.
